UScellular has named Thomas Catani as Head of Broadband Opportunities and Policy. In this newly created role, Catani will work within government affairs at UScellular to influence the development of wireless-based, high-speed connectivity across underserved areas in rural America.
Catani joined UScellular in 1997 and has held multiple positions in sales, customer service, marketing and engineering. He most recently served as UScellular’s Area Vice President & General Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region. Prior to joining UScellular, Catani served for 15 years with AT&T and Lucent Technologies. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois in Champaign. He resides in Knoxville with his wife and family.

Additionally, UScellular has promoted Nathan Waddell to Area Vice President & General Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region. In this role, Waddell will lead sales and operations for UScellular in Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
Waddell joined UScellular in 1999, most recently serving as Director of Sales for UScellular in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Over the course of his two-decade career with UScellular, he was won multiple leadership and customer service awards and in 2018 received the company’s “Dynamic Excellence Award.” Waddell earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Old Dominion University and a master’s degree in management from the University of Phoenix. He resides in the greater Knoxville area with his wife and family.

UScellular has promoted Thomas White as Director of Sales for East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. In this role, White is responsible for leading the corporate and agent channel sales teams, as well as influencing enterprise solutions and growth strategies in the region. Thomas has served in multiple leadership positions during his career at UScellular, most recently serving as the Strategic Initiatives and Operations Manager, supporting strategic projects for the Mid-Atlantic Region and the Organization. White lives in Knoxville with his wife and family and has been with UScellular since 2011.
