UScellular, Boys & Girls Clubs of Tennessee Valley Announce Winners of First Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Art Contest

Today, UScellular announced the winners of its first annual Hispanic Heritage Month Art Contest with Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley. Winners of the art contest were celebrated during a ceremony at Lonsdale Elementary School.

Boys & Girls Clubs members were encouraged to create original pieces of artwork in recognition of influential Hispanic icons in science, technology, education and mathematics (STEM), including historical figures, world leaders, scientists and educators. This year, six clubs across UScellular’s service areas participated in the art contest, including Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley.

From Sept. 15-22, the public was able to participate in online voting to determine the winners. The top vote-getters from each club were given gift cards for the following amounts:

  • 1st Place, Bella Pheap: $250
  • 2nd Place, Gracie Vanenkenvoort: $150
  • 3rd Place, Ronaldo Andres Nicolas: $100
