March means the start of spring, Easter and fun events in warmer weather at Sweet P’s Barbeque locations in Knoxville.

During the first official weekend of spring, March 19-20, Sweet P’s Downtown Dive will open its beer garden with food, beer and wine specials. New drafts will be added to the selection, and all draft beers will be $1 off all weekend.

Additionally, the eatery has several other events slated for the month, including:

March 23, 5-9 p.m., Downtown Dive, 410 W. Jackson Ave.: ‘Taste & Toast’ will benefit the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club. The special menu includes Tri-Trip sliders, sweet potato fries and green apple jicama slaw paired with Yee-Haw beers. Proceeds from beer sales, along with $5 from every plate, will benefit AMBC.

March 23, 6 p.m., Soul House, 3725 Maryville Pike: The free Songwriters in the Soul House series returns for 2016 with Dan Montgomery and Robert Moche of Memphis. The duo will bring their unique folk and Americana blend to the restaurant for dinner guests to enjoy. Mark your calendar for a night of music and barbecue. The series will continue through the fall.

March 27: Both locations will be closed on Easter Sunday, but order the Hallelujah Ham Rolls from our catering menu to enjoy at family and community celebrations. For more information on Sweet P’s catering, call 865-306-2727.

March 31-April 2, Downtown Dive:  Sweet P’s Barbeque and Downtown Dive sponsors the Big Ears Festival with a pig roast at The Standard on Friday, April 1, that is open to all Big Ears ticketholders. Grab a beer and bite to eat at The Standard all weekend before and after the concerts.
