South College will host two Career Fairs in May at its Knoxville campuses with recruiters from 25 companies and industries across the region.
On Thursday, May 10, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., the educational institution will host a Career Fair at the Parkside campus at 400 Goody’s Lane.
The second Career Fair will be held Wednesday, May 16, from 10 a.m-1 p.m. at South College’s main campus at 3904 Lonas Drive.
Employers and human resources personnel will be on-site at both campuses to recruit job seekers for positions in health care, business, legal studies, law enforcement, accounting and other fields.
“A job search can be overwhelming,” said Gary Taylor, Career Services Coordinator for South College. “We have hosted these Career Fairs year after year, and we make it worthwhile for job seekers by offering an array of recruiters in multiple fields. Job seekers can network and talk directly to the people in charge of hiring new employees.”
Attendees should be dressed appropriately and have extra copies of their resumes, Taylor said.
“Review the companies that will be on-site,” Taylor said. “Research the websites for valuable information so that you will be able to compare each mission with your professional goals.”

Companies scheduled to participate at the May 10 Career Fair include: Covenant Health, University Family Physicians, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, Wellmont Health System, U.S. Navy, Tennessee National Guard, Summit Medical Group, Remote Area Medical (RAM), CVS Pharmacy, YWCA, Morrison Healthcare, U.S. Army, CareAll Private Duty, Express Employment Professionals and East Tennessee Personal Care Service.
