July 21, 2023

South College Indianapolis hosted elected officials, healthcare partners and community leaders at an open house on July 20 to showcase the campus and expanded program offerings.

South College is a multi-campus institution, founded in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1882. The college offers 100-plus programs and concentrations taught at eight physical campuses and online.

“We have been welcomed by the Carmel and Indianapolis communities and are pleased with the progress we’ve made in forming healthcare partnerships and fostering local relationships to serve students and the community at large,” South College Chancellor Stephen A. South said. “South College Indianapolis is committed to providing excellent educational opportunities to students now while always planning for future program development.”

The Indianapolis campus opened in 2021 and has expanded to now offer 14 healthcare-related certificate, associate and bachelor programs in disciplines such as nursing, imaging science, and health science. The campus partners with local healthcare providers as clinical affiliates, helping both students and local employers through these relationships.

“South College Indianapolis combines student support, modern facilities and excellent instructors and faculty for instruction in labs, classrooms, and real-world clinical locations to help students become successful healthcare practitioners,” South College Indianapolis Campus President Turner South said. “It’s been a great two years, and we look forward to serving this community for many years to come.”

The campus is located at 301 Pennsylvania Parkway in Indianapolis and currently is enrolling students for all programs. It welcomes all students to contact the campus for a tour. Classes are offered in both on-campus and online formats, depending on the program.

Students who qualify for financial aid have access to a range of programs as do members of the U.S. military, veterans and their families. The institution also offers student and career services. For more information about South College Indianapolis, call 317-819-7900 or visit south.edu.
