Additional MyRewards points, giveaways offered to professional drivers through September

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 12, 2014) – While professional drivers have an official week of appreciation in September, Pilot Flying J is celebrating the entire month in recognition of their hard work to keep America moving.

“As part of what we do every day, we strive to thank the ‘Road Warriors’ who serve as professional drivers,” Pilot Flying J CEO Jimmy Haslam said. “But we’re especially honored to recognize these outstanding men and women during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week and throughout the month of September.

“We are grateful to these men and women for spending long hours on the road, away from family and friends, to keep our country running smoothly. That’s why it’s always been our top priority to help make their life and job run smoothly while on the road.”

Pilot Flying J will offer additional MyRewards points and giveaways for professional drivers throughout September. National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is held Sept. 14-20.

Every weekday from September 15-19, Pilot Flying J is offering:
• Coupons good for one 20-ounce Nestle Pure Life water, or any size coffee, fountain drink or refill
• Buy one single Cinnabon item and receive a free item of equal or lesser value
• Individual local celebrations at each store
• A variety of other in-store giveaways

With more than 650 locations across North America, Pilot Flying J is the largest travel center and travel plaza operator in the country and also one of the largest restaurant franchisees. Serving nearly half a million professional drivers each month and extending approximately $500 million of credit to the trucking industry every week, Pilot Flying J recognizes the hard work and dedication required of the drivers who keep America moving.

To best serve professional drivers, the Pilot Flying J network of stores features a total of more than 4,500 diesel lanes, more than 4,400 of which feature DEF at the pump; more than 4,400 clean, deluxe and newly renovated showers; and a total of more than 65,000 truck parking spaces.

“While we are designating September to extend our appreciation to professional drivers, it is our ultimate goal to provide them with the best products and services all year round,” Haslam said. “It’s part of our commitment to making life better for America’s drivers.”
