Considering the overpopulation of unwanted and homeless pets in East Tennessee, there is a great need for community members to support their local animal shelter. During the month of January, helping a homeless animal has never been easier.

Kristi Sowards, Knoxville Convention Center sales manager, was recently recognized by her peers as the 2012 Leader of the Year. Knoxville Convention Center General Manager Mary Bogert presented the award during the annual employee holiday gathering.
