Thanks to M&M Productions USA and Pack Man Sports Productions, six Farragut High School seniors located in Nebraska still will be able to participate in graduation ceremonies this Saturday in Knoxville.

Alex Chan, Jason Fu, Daniel Hong, Hyungdon “Don” Joo, Raaghul Senthilkumar and Kai Smith are competing with eight other Farragut High School students in the 2015 Science Olympiad National Tournament over the weekend. The seniors had expected to miss their high school graduation because of their academic commitment in Lincoln, Nebraska.

However, M&M Productions, a full-service event, video and broadcast production company, will connect the students through video conferencing during the ceremony. In addition to being able to watch commencement, Smith and Joo, who are co-valedictorians of the class of 2015, will participate in a live interview with Principal Stephanie Thompson about the Olympiad and why they chose to compete rather than be at graduation.

“Bringing people together from anywhere and making these connections are a special part of our business,” said Mike Brown, M&M Productions USA president and CEO. “We’re looking forward to connecting these six seniors to such a momentous occasion in their lives on Saturday.”

The Farragut High School graduation will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Thompson-Boling Arena. The students’ participation via video conferencing and the interview will take place at approximately 8:15 p.m.

“We’re thankful that today’s technology allows for these students to still participate in graduation,” Thompson said. “In addition to allowing these six students to be a part of their ceremony, M&M Productions USA also is live-streaming all Knox County commencements online so graduates can share the occasion with anyone around the world. That is a wonderful way to connect people.”

M&M Productions USA is streaming all Knox County high school graduations live in high definition at www.knoxgrads.com.
