The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra presents the 29th Annual Clayton Holiday Concert on December 18, 19 & 20 at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. Maestro James Fellenbaum conducts the Orchestra and special guests for “An Appalachian Christmas.” Children’s tickets start at just $8.00. There are four performances: Friday, Dec. 18 & Saturday, Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 20 at 3:00 p.m. These concerts are sponsored by Clayton Homes, Clayton Volvo and Clayton Bank & Trust.
Musical selections include “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Go Tell it on the Mountain,” “Tender Tennessee Christmas,” and many other traditional holiday carols. The KSO will be joined by special guests Knoxville Choral Society, Go! Contemporary Dance Works, bluegrass legend Paul Brewster, the Knoxville Banjo Orchestra, and Santa Claus.
“As this is my first time conducting the KSO’s Clayton Holiday concerts, I’m thrilled about the musical program this year,” said KSO Resident Conductor James Fellenbaum. Our “An Appalachian Christmas” theme is going to be full of fantastic music and offers a variety of feel-good tunes, including festive holiday music to lift the spirit, our traditional sing-a-long, and much more. Plus, I can’t wait to share the stage with Paul Brewster, Santa, and the rest of our special guests for four performances of music, song and dance, continuing the KSO’s tradition of celebrating the holiday season in style.
Paul Brewster
For the last 18 years, bluegrass and country artist Paul Brewster has been the tenor singer and rhythm guitarist alongside Grammy Award winner Ricky Skaggs as a member of the 8-time IBMA Instrumental Group of the Year, Kentucky Thunder. Originally from Knoxville, Paul has released two solo albums and has contributed as a songwriter to artists such as Vince Gill, Marty Raybon and Randy Travis.

Established in 1935, the KSO has contributed to the cultural life in East Tennessee continuously for 80 years, providing excellence in musical and educational programs.
