The Knoxville Jazz Orchestra will hold its annual fundraiser, Jazz and Cocktails, with live music from the Taber Gable Trio at an historic 10,000-square-foot private estate.
The event will be held Sunday, June 26, at Maple Grove Estate, located on 15 acres at 8800 Westland Drive in Knoxville. Attendees can stroll the grounds and enjoy live jazz, wine and light appetizers.
“We’re enthusiastic about this performance from the Taber Gable Trio,” said Vance Thompson, director of the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra. “Attendees will enjoy a great event in a beautiful setting, and the funds support jazz scholarships for East Tennessee youth and our continued programming, as well.”
Taber Gable, a jazz pianist and graduate of The Julliard School, is active in the New York jazz scene as well as in international circles for his captivating live performances and style.
The nonprofit Knoxville Jazz Orchestra is instrumental in keeping jazz music alive in the community for fans and legacy players, as well as setting the stage for upcoming generations of jazz musicians and fans.
“Taber has made quite a name for himself in the jazz world and this event offers a unique opportunity to hear him in an intimate setting,” Thompson said.
Tickets for the event are $100 each. For more information and to order tickets, visit knoxjazz.org/calendar/2022/6/26/jazz-and-cocktails.
