December 7, 2023

Leaders of Furrow Automotive, Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville and Land Rover Knoxville, as well as executives from Mercedes-Benz USA and Land Rover North America and elected officials, celebrated the completion Dec. 7 of the Knoxville Motor Company BodyWerks collision center, part of a community investment that will create 40 jobs and raise the standard for East Tennessee’s automotive industry.

The state-of-the-art facility has been meticulously designed to optimize every aspect of the collision repair process. From the moment customers walk through the door, they will notice the BodyWerks “Evolution” theme showcasing its partnership with Sherwin-Williams and inspired by the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team; BodyWerks is the first “Evolution”-themed collision center in the United States. The enhanced production flow ensures customers enjoy a better experience and faster delivery. The collision center team consists of highly trained, experienced technicians who use only factory-certified parts. The facility also boasts expanded paint booths with the capacity to handle large recreational vehicles and commercial vans.

BodyWerks specializes in body care and collision repair for commercial vans and top luxury brands, such as Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Land Rover. All makes and models of vehicles are welcome, and BodyWerks works with all insurance companies. BodyWerks is Mercedes-Benz Elite Certified, which includes certification for commercial van repair and aluminum structural repair. The facility also is Volvo Certified and will earn Land Rover Certification in the first quarter of 2024. Technicians undergo continuous training to ensure they are well versed in advancements in technology and the latest tools of the trade.

“The support and trust that our community has generously extended to our family of brands is beyond measure,” said Lee Ann Furrow Tolsma, president of Furrow Automotive. “We have remained committed to serving East Tennesseans by incorporating their valuable feedback into BodyWerks’ design. Today, with great enthusiasm and a profound sense of gratitude, we are ready to open our doors and invite everyone to our new collision center.”

The new facility expands the Furrow Automotive footprint in Knoxville, adding extra capacity to serve customers and provide a world-class experience in automotive sales, service and collision repair. Furrow Automotive’s presence continues to grow as construction on a new, reimagined dealership for Land Rover Knoxville already is underway. In addition, the opening of BodyWerks will allow Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville to expand its Service Department and upgrade its Reconditioning Center.

The BodyWerks collision center is located at 10580 Parkside Drive in West Knoxville and open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
