Cherokee Distributing Company has added Dogfish Head brews to its portfolio of products and will deliver the well-known “beach beer” to stores, bars and restaurants across East Tennessee.
Dogfish Head started in 1995 with the opening of Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, the first brewpub in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and the beach beer quickly became popular with tourists – and in demand well beyond Delaware’s borders.
“Cherokee Distributing Company will bring Dogfish Head beers to 22 East Tennessee counties from the Tri-Cities to Knoxville,” said Jeff Knight, general manager for Cherokee Distributing Company. “Dogfish Head has a great following among beer enthusiasts, and we expect this new offering to be well-received by all of our customers.”
Namaste is a Belgian-style beer with hoppy flavors and lightly kilned malt.
“We’re excited to bring these beach brews close to home,” Knight said. “Dogfish Head has made a distinct name for itself among beer lovers and craft beer supporters. Adding Dogfish Head brews to our lineup is in keeping with our company’s 57-year history of bringing the best products to East Tennessee.”
