Cherokee Distributing Company has added Dogfish Head brews to its portfolio of products and will deliver the well-known “beach beer” to stores, bars and restaurants across East Tennessee.
Dogfish Head started in 1995 with the opening of Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, the first brewpub in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and the beach beer quickly became popular with tourists – and in demand well beyond Delaware’s borders.
“Cherokee Distributing Company will bring Dogfish Head beers to 22 East Tennessee counties from the Tri-Cities to Knoxville,” said Jeff Knight, general manager for Cherokee Distributing Company. “Dogfish Head has a great following among beer enthusiasts, and we expect this new offering to be well-received by all of our customers.”
The brewing company’s motto is “off-centered ales for off-centered people,” and Dogfish Head offers an eclectic lineup from Namaste witbier to its signature IPA products. The 60 Minute IPA and 90 Minute IPA get their names from the amount of hop additions and boil time during the brewing process.
Namaste is a Belgian-style beer with hoppy flavors and lightly kilned malt.
