The Knoxville Area Urban League invites you to cover the tenth annual Induction Ceremony of the National Achievers Society, an honor society that recognizes and celebrates the academic achievements of African-American and other minority youth.

The ceremony will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 15, at Greater Warner AME Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King Blvd. The Induction Ceremony includes students from nearly every public and private high school in Knox County and Oak Ridge High School.

Each year more than 1,000 family members, teachers, elected officials and community volunteers attend this event. The hour-long program will include student performances, an inspirational message, the official NAS Induction affirmation and awards.
